Overview of Upscayl

Upscayl uses Real-ESRGAN and deep convolutional neural networks to upscale images up to 16x resolution directly on Vulkan-compatible GPUs.

Quickstart

  1. Download the native Upscayl installer for Linux, macOS, or Windows.
  2. Select an image or an entire folder of photos to upscale in batch.
  3. Choose your AI model (General Photo, Digital Art, Sharp Anime, Ultramix).
  4. Set the upscale scale (2x, 4x, 8x, 16x) and click Upscayl.
