Why consider Pushgateway?
Pushgateway is an open-source metric cache for Prometheus written in Go. Because Prometheus pull scraping cannot reliably poll short-lived batch jobs or cron scripts that exit within seconds, Pushgateway accepts pushed metrics via HTTP POST and holds them until scraped.
